Sadaf Khan

Sadaf completed his undergraduate dentistry at Guys and St Thomas's Hospitals, London in 2000, graduating with honours as well as intercalating a BSc degree with first class honours. After 4 years of general professional training, he went on to orthodontic postgraduate training at GKT. He has an MSc in Orthodontics from Kings College, an MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was then awarded an FDSOrthRCS, having completed FTTA training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. In 2011, he was appointed Consultant Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London and the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

Since 2016, Sadaf has dedicated himself to full time specialist practice in Headington, Oxford. He has held various positions on the British Orthodontic Society and has a keen interest in the teaching and training of dentists, therapists and specialists. He has published a number of papers in peer reviewed journals and is regularly involved with teaching and lecturing at national level.

Sadaf is passionate about keeping the speciality of orthodontics integrated within the sphere of dentistry in terms of communication, access and joint working both at a patient and professional level. He advocates that orthodontics should not stand alone as a speciality but as an integrated one. He has served on the LDC since 2018 and works with general dental colleagues to keep them up to date with orthodontic developments, NHS contracting issues and service provision. In addition, he sits on the Oxfordshire Orthodontic MCN and feeds back to that committee on any issues of concern from colleagues in general practice.
