Laurie trained at Sheffield Dental School and after associate positions in Nottinghamshire and Oxfordshire became a partner in a three surgery practice in Bicester. Away from practice, after completing his postgraduate diploma at Bristol University he became a part-time clinical lecturer there, working in the primary care department. He is currently working towards his teaching fellowship in higher education.
Laurie is a member of the BDA, has been part of Oxfordshire LDC for over 15 years and was honoured to be appointed chair in 2020. He is committed to providing support and offering advice to local dentists through his role.
